HOW TO ACTIVATE GOOGLE CHAT IN GMAIL APP
- To enable Google Chat in Gmail on an Android mobile device, you can do the following:
- Open the Gmail app
- Tap the Menu icon in the top left
- Select Settings
- Choose an account to opt in to Google Chat
- Under General, next to Chat, turn on Show the chat and spaces tab
- To start a chat in Gmail on an Android mobile device, you can:
- Tap the Chat icon
- Tap the New Chat pop-up in the lower-right corner
- You can also start a voice or video meeting from the Google Chat app or Gmail. To do this, you can:
- In Chat, in the bottom navigation menu, tap Direct messages
- Open a direct message
- At the top, click Start voice call or Start video call
HOW TO ACTIVATE GOOGLE MEET IN GMAIL APP
- To enable the Google Meet tab in the Gmail app on your mobile device, you can do the following:
- Open the Gmail app
- Tap the Menu icon
- Tap Settings
- Select the account you want to configure
- Under Meet, check the box next to Show the Meet tab for video calling
- You can also start a video meeting from Gmail by following these steps:
- Open Gmail
- Click Meet in the sidebar
- In the Share your new meeting window, click Join now
- If you're having trouble with Google Meet, you can try these steps:
- Use a stable internet connection
- Switch between Wi-Fi and cellular data
- Check app settings for conflicts with other apps
- Reinstall the Google Meet app
- Join the meeting from meet.google.com without using the app.
